Dear readers,
08/08/08, this auspicious day marked the opening of Beijing Olympic 2008!! Yeah! The competition has begun!! Athletes from all around the world are competing against each other, fighting to bring proud for their nations.. Let's hope that our athletes will bring proud to our countries, alright? ^^
On the same day, Me with a few of my classmates were supposed to study in the library but we ended up playing poker cards instead!! lols.. What a day.. lols.. Later in the evening, met up with HUA family to buy present for Maria's birthday which fell on 08/08/08.. lols.. We went around Bugis to look for the present and think about how to make a big surprise for her.. Then, we walked over to Suntec city to watch the Fountain of Wealth and dedicated a birthday message for her.. haha..
9th August 2008 - Singapore National Day Parade 2008.. A spectacular celebration held at Marina Bay with 27,000 spectators.. On the same day, HUA family celebrated Maria's birthday.. Made her a big surprise and bully her by wrapping her present with 19 layers.. and here how the surprise went..
The night before, i texted her on mobile saying that I couldn't make it for the dinner. She sounded disappointed enough.. If the plan went according to the initial plan where we are supposed to have dinner at an Indonesian Restaurant @ Clarke Quay then I would come out as a "waiter" giving her a "menu" which is a birthday card.. However, on the day itself, she messaged the girls and said that the venue for dinner had changed to Orchard, so we gotta think of a new plan.. Finally, we came out with a stupid idea where we will covered her eyes from behind and I will just appear in front of her with the birthday card.. BUT, she was late so the plan had once again changed.. This time it is just a normal surprise, I would just sit down at the table and here you the surprise.. Well, it was a surprise which is not surprising.. Erm, nevermind, I'm confused myself..
After the dinner, we walked over to Clarke Quay and sat down there, looking at people, talking about life and stuffs, and OH, we got a special guest today, Ern, from Seattle!!! It has been a long time since I saw her the last time.. It's good to see her again and happy that she is doing well there..
At the Clarke Quay, we had so much fun, but Ern and her sister didn't join us as they had something on.. So, here we go, let's let the pictures say it all.. ^^ Enjoy people!!
